The XL Scallop Cups Rain Chain is one of the largest cup style rain chains on the market! This rain chain will handle heavy water flow conditions. The pure unfinished copper option will age to a lovely patina over time. If you love the look of aged copper, the Patina option will be perfect for you! The cups are made of thick, pure aluminum with a blue/green patina coating applied to give it that beautiful color right away. The raw aluminum option will darken over time. The powder-coat options will remain true to color. The aluminum and powder-coated options come with stainless-steel connecting wires for added strength.
To prevent damage in transit and reduce packaging volume, the upper wires are shipped separately from the cups, so some assembly is required. Each rain chain comes with a matching v-hook. The v-hook sits inside the gutter opening to hold the rain chain in place.
Installation Tip:
The connecting wires have threaded end nuts. We recommend dabbing a small amount of Loctite® Blue adhesive on each end nut to prevent them from unfastening. Available at any hardware or home improvement store. Click Here for cup assembly instructions.

It is beautiful, arrived timely and both assembly and installation (we did buy kit) were a breeze. It is indeed large capacity! We had significant storms last night (Dallas, TX area) and it performed better than we had hoped. Unfortunately, I can’t attach a video, however during an absolute downpour it moved an amazing amount of water right through the cups and into our drain with minor splashing - - no beat up plants or scattered mulch to be seen! We are very pleased, and highly recommend!

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The material is solid and professional grade. I originally had the chains but I live close to the ocean and needed the extra large cup style because of the wind. They also look great!
