The Tapered Square Cups Rain Chain is available in pure unfinished aluminum, aluminum with a patina finish, or galvanized iron powder-coated in matte Black or Bronze. These options allow you to easily coordinate the rain chain with your gutters and trim. The Tapered Square Cups Rain Chain will help give your home a modern look. The patent pending design with seamed cup construction makes for an extremely strong and durable rain chain. This rain chain will easily handle diverse rainfall conditions.
To prevent damage in transit and reduce packaging volume, the upper wires are shipped separately from the cups, so some assembly is required. Each rain chain comes with a matching v-hook for easy installation. We recommend the Installation Kit (sold separately) to help direct water onto the rain chain.

Such beautiful quality rain chains! Love them!
I opted for this model size vs the extra large for the difference in price. So far its working great in a spot that gets a lot of runoff from my lanai roof, so I am happy I didn’t get the largest cups. These are large enough to move water and add drama to the space without being overly obtrusive.
I also measured 10.5 feet from gutter to ground and ordered the 10ft chain, which was the perfect amount of cups to reach the anchor.
Looks:
The patina on this model is just cosmetic (not copper) but it looks great and is more budget friendly. It looks aged and lovely.
Function:
We bought the ground stake anchor and the install piece for the gutter and both are musts. We have a river rock bed that works great with the chain to provide runoff during the rain. I waited for a good soaking before writing this review to be sure.
So far nothing splashes out except for when the water chooses to cling to the connectors instead of drop into the buckets. The upside down V shaped pieces pull some of the water to the sides, and they stick out from the cups enough to toss some water to the side, but its not a fail. The bulk of the water shoots through the middle with no wiggle.
I really love that we switched out an old rain barrel for this rain chain. It moves the water well and looks lovely. Makes it nice to sit and watch the rain.
