This is the perfect accessory to make your rain chain installation easy and work perfectly! The Installation Kit directs water downward onto the rain chain for maximum water flow efficiency. This kit is designed to be used with standard flat (K-Style) gutters. Please note, this kit may not be compatible with custom-fabricated gutters, as unique dimensions and configurations may affect proper installation. Available in in copper, raw aluminum, and aluminum with a black, bronze, or white powder-coat finish. Also available in "Patina" which is made of aluminum with a hand applied patina coating.

This kit drops into the gutter hole that's at 2 1/4" in diameter (An additional sleeve is provided "just in case" for larger gutter openings). Your rain chain can either hang from the bolt or the bottom of the included D-clip. Both are perfectly secure attachment methods. It's recommended that you hang link style rain chains, such as the Double Loops Rain Chain from the bolt, so that more water flows directly onto the chain. Made of the purest, thickest materials. The D-clips are made of stainless steel for added strength and durability. The Installation Kit looks great, too!

Why choose an Installation Kit?

Some gutters have a hole only, no flange, spout or outlet tube. Water tends to swirl out of a hole like that, missing the rain chain. Water also sticks to the underside of the gutter, dripping off up to several feet away. Some gutters have an opening that is larger than the rain chains link or cup. In this case, a lot of water will miss the chain at the top. The Installation Kit directs the water onto (or into) the chain, helping it to function with maximum efficiency. It's easy to remove too! Hanging the chain from the D-clip at the bottom of the kit allows for easy removal and installation. Plus, it's a more secure method of attachment.

Almost perfect chain adapter

Pros:
1) Seems well made and plenty strong
2) Helps direct the water a little more narrowly
3) Easy to install (as long as there is no gutter bracket or nail over the downspout hole)
4) Offers two chain attachment points
5) Looks nice

Cons:
1) I have a standard 5-inch 'K' style gutter, and neither top flange fits well. The small one leaves a slight gap on the edges where it doesn't quite cover the 2-3/4" round outlet, so water can get around it. The larger one is about 1/8" too wide to even fit into the gutter.
It seems like the smaller one is designed for less common 4-inch gutters. Maybe a third size could be added for common 5-inch gutters. Also the 3-1/4" size is odd - too wide for standard gutters, and too narrow for oversized 6-inch gutters which can have a 3-3/8" round outlet. I think three flange widths of 2-5/8", 3-1/8", & 3-7/8" would be more ideal.
2) Exit tube is a little too wide for the origami chain. Water streams sometimes angle outward and fall just outside the edge of the top link in the 'V' shaped opening.
