Installing a Rain Chain Anchor Stake

The simplest way to anchor your rain chain to the ground is by using an Anchor Stake or Anchor Pin. These stakes provide a single point on the ground for you to attach your rain chain to.

First Step:
Now that you've installed your rain chain, it's time to locate the exact spot you want to place your stake! Wherever the rain chain hangs to the ground is where you will place your Anchor Stake or Anchor Pin. You'll want to make sure the rain chain hangs straight down, so and water will be able to flow down the rain chain properly.

Second Step:
Simply push or twist the stake or pin down into the ground where you would like it placed. The Anchor Stakes and Anchor Pins come with 1-foot sections of Copper Accessory Chain; this is how you will attach them to your rain chain!

Third Step:
The Copper Accessory Chain is easily pliable, and you'll be able to open the link in the chain that best fits where your rain chain ends. Attach the link to the last link or cup in your rain chain. Simply bend the chain link back closed to complete the attachment process. Feel free to remove any extra Copper Accessory Chain links and keep them as spares. If you need extra accessory chain, we sell it separately in several different lengths.

Be sure you don't pull your rain chain too tight, because the extra tension could cause damage to the chain or your gutter overtime. If you leave too much slack, the rain chain could swing in the wind and cause damage. Make sure the chain hangs freely with a little slack in the chain, but not enough to hit anything when the wind blows.

Now sit back, relax, and admire your beautiful rain chain!
