Type: Rain Barrels
The Rain Vault 50 gallon rain barrel is a classic looking barrel. Modeled after an actual whiskey barrel, this unique rain catcher will provide you with plenty of fresh water while looking great against your home. The top features an anti-debris screen to keep out leaves and bugs. The bottom hosts a high quality brass spigot for a standard hose connection. Look at the back and you'll see it's flat to sit flush with exterior walls so you don't lose space. There are also connection points which can be used to daisy-chain barrels together, using the overflow to fill the next barrel. Aside from the natural wood grain finish, the barrel also has two, deep set handles which are very convenient when moving the Rain Vault. Your plants will love the chemical-free water and this rain barrel is a must-have during times of drought.

The rain barrel arrived today! I ordered it on May 24, and it arrived on June 15.
First impressions are that it looks a little smaller in person vs pictures. Not a big concern. It looks nicely made and the colors match what the pictures show.
After taking the barrel out of the box, I noticed that the debris screen was screwed on at an angle, and not nice and square and even. Also the screen wasn't cut correctly. Instead of being a nice rectangle shape, the longer sides of the rectangle got wider making it not fit the screen area just right.
To access the hardware (spigot, plumbers tape, and instructions), you have to unscrew it anyways, so after unscrewing it and trimming it up, I noticed that the person who made the large hole for water to enter the barrel left the cut out hole debris inside the barrel! After drilling pilot holes in the correct areas for the screws, cleaning out the debris in the barrel, and adding the debris screen back on, the barrel looks good!
The screen area on top for water to enter has 6 screws, not 4 like in the picture. It's also quite brittle, so be careful! The little squares will break before they'll bend.
I had questions about shipping after purchase, and the reps via Zendesk were very responsive and knowledgeable.
Thank you for your review. If you should ever have an issue with the rain barrel screens please let us know, we are happy to replace them at no extra cost to you. Thanks you for the wonderful complement to our support team.
