They’re made from one piece of solid wood, so the beautiful grain wraps around the crisp mitered corners. The joints are reinforced with floating tenons to make sure it will last for years to come. Due to the nature of wood, each item will have unique color and grain patterns. There may be sap wood, small knots, or other variations that make each one of these boxes unique.

It features a dishwasher safe stainless-steel insert that is easy to keep clean and won't absorb smells. The smooth interior walls of the insert prevent foods and liquids from building up, so there’s no need for liner bags!

Finish and Maintenance:

Each wood frame is finished with Walrus Oil Brand wood finishes. Walrus Oil is 100% plant based and made with food grade ingredients. With no synthetic or toxic ingredients, it's safe for humans and the planet.

Your item might feel a bit oily or waxy when you receive it. The finish does not contain any chemical dryers, so it takes around 4 weeks to fully cure. While it is curing try not to get the wood wet.

Your item may need a new coat of finish if the wood starts to look dry (much like a cutting board). You can wipe on a thin coat of any Walrus Oil brand wood finish or use any cutting board oil. The wood frame should be wiped down with a damp cloth if it gets dirty.
