More Product Information:

This Compost Caddy is dishwasher safe and super easy to clean! Since they’re so easy to clean, the experts from Subpod recommend skipping the compostable liners, although this caddy is designed to fit conventional liners available at major stores. The Caddies are made from food-safe 304 stainless steel, so they’ll last a lifetime without flaking anything nasty into your compost and garden!

To make sure your hands don’t freeze during trips out into the garden, there’s a comfy, slip-resistant silicone grip added to the Caddy’s handle. The top of the lid is engraved with Subpod’s company motto, "Feed the Soil, Feed the World" as a reminder that you’re saving food from going to a landfill and preventing greenhouse gas production, that’s something to be proud of!

Using Your Compost Caddy:

Once you’ve filled your 5L Compost Caddy with kitchen scraps, simply empty it into your Subpod every couple days (along with some shredded paper or cardboard), rinse it out, and pop it back on your counter to start collecting again! It’s suggested that your compost caddy be emptied every 2-3 days to keep it smelling fresh and easy to clean. You can also empty it daily if you prefer.

There’s no need for a charcoal filter or compostable liners. If you do prefer to use a liner, Subpod suggests using large brown paper sandwich bags instead. They aren’t as durable, but they’re perfectly safe to put in your Subpod!
