Aeration holes are located around the outside and help to speed up aeration but are too small for rodents and other animals to get through. Both the top lid and lower access hatch are made large and with easy-to-grip hand holds for convenient access. The whole unit ships conveniently in two interlocking pieces. Setup takes about 5 minutes and is as simple as using a few fasteners to secure the top to the bottom. You can also configure which side the bottom hatch is on to customize your setup.
